Are you looking for a dynamic and inspiring work environment? RCL Benziger, an industry leading religious education publisher is seeking a seasoned and enthusiastic Private K-12 School Sales Representative to bring Catholic faith-based publications to schools. 


As a Private K-12 School Sales Representative, you will build relationships with principals, vice principals, key teacher and diocesan VIP's to sell, provide service and promote Kendall Hunt Publishing products to non-public school in assigned territory.  Using the relationships built, secure new business year over year.  Performs cost-benefit analyses of potential and existing customers, and maintains positive customer relationships to ensure renewals and expansions.

Private K-12 School Sales Representative Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales team members and other supporting departments to ensure accounts are well managed/maintained
  • Ensures financial growth and maintain budget guidelines
  • Manages customer acquisition, retention and attrition
  • Conducts territory analytics to include research on local K-12 non-public school education climate
  • Review and become familiar with all key Kendall Hunt products
  • Maintains all contact information in database including records, sales opportunities, notes/history, calendar and adheres to all database responsibilities in a timely manner
  • Maintains ongoing communications with National Sales Manager or other Sales Managers through weekly verbal and written reports


Private K-12 School Sales Representative Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and sales experience
  • Self-motivated and disciplined to effectively manage accounts and territory
  • Positive, "can do" attitude
  • Able to identify and implement an action plan to drive growth in territory
  • Excellent selling, closing, persuasion, and rapport-building skills
  • Passionate and competitive with strong organizational and presentation skills
  • 40%-50% travel required during academic year
  • Basic knowledge of the Catholic religion
  • Valid Driver's License
